Course Overview

In this eleven week workshop package, learn the character pipeline for games by quickly bringing a 3D game character to life as you create a model, rig, and an animation for a quadruped.

Begin by creating a dog model and texture in Rapid Character Development for Online Games with John DeRiggi.
Next, develop an animation ­friendly dog rig in Quadruped Rigging for Games with Brian Evans.
Finally, learn how to create appealing animation for your dog and other creatures in Animating Creatures for Games with Kyle Kenworthy.

Taking on the role of a character artist at a game studio, you will model and texture a dog character character geared toward online games before focus on rapidly creating a game rig for a dog. Then you will learn how to efficiently animate your characters and develop a rapid workflow.
